The M&CPEI Show Your Badge and Come Early, Stay Late programs are discount programs offered exclusively to delegates attending meetings and business events being hosted on PEI. These incentive programs will encourage attendees to stay longer, spend more at your businesses, and get out and explore all that PEI has to offer.
Virtual Delegate Bag App

The Virtual Delegate bag is a progressive web app— available on both mobile phones and computer web browsers. It is promoted to conference and meeting attendees through scanning a QR Code or visiting delegatebag.ca. The web app provides a convenient and paperless way for delegates to browse the offers shared by our members for the Show Your Badge and Come Early Stay Late Programs. Now there is no need to stuff bags with flyers, coupons, and all that hard copy information. Conference delegates can just download this free app on their iPhone or Android device, and find everything they’d need to know about their stay on PEI including where to shop, where to eat, and what to do while they’re here.
Come Early Stay Late Program
Come Early Stay Late is a program to add value to our accommodations members across Prince Edward Island. The program lists offers on the Virtual Delegate Bag for an incentive to convention delegates to extend their stay on PEI before and/or after their conference. This ensures that your business is front and center when delegates make the important decision to extend their stay.
Show Your Badge Program
Through the Show Your Badge program, conference participants will receive access to special offers or discounts on products or services just by using our Virtual Delegate Bag Web App, available through scanning a QR code provided to them at registration.
How are your offers promoted?

- Door Stickers for participating businesses
- Welcome Posters with scannable QR code displayed in businesses around host city/region
- Social Media Toolkit and Banner Ads offered for conference websites, email newsletters and other promotions

How does the Show Your Badge program work?
Show Your Badge is a year-round program put in place to encourage meeting and conference participants to experience what our Island has to offer! Conference attendees are provided with a list of Show Your Badge participants and are encouraged to show their conference issued badge/name tag to receive discounts. We ask that you make sure your staff be aware of their business or organization’s individual offered discount, and to be ready to serve participants with quality customer service (as usual!)
Who qualifies for these programs?
Any meeting or conference attendee (or their companion) is eligible to receive the discount or promotion participants choose to offer. We send out a list of meetings and conventions taking place in PEI every three months, and we ask participants to please review the list. It’s great to be aware of upcoming meetings, and for staff to be prepared for delegates using their discount.
What should I do if a delegate comes in showing the Virtual Delegate Bag Web App?
The Virtual Delegate bag is made available to meeting attendees and delivers all the Show your Badge offers on a web app. If you see a delegate showing your business Virtual Delegate Bag Web App offer, be sure to welcome them to PEI! Let them know you are pleased to share the discount with them.
What should I do if I see a delegate wearing a badge?
This program is about creating a good experience for the conference attendee. If you see a delegate with their badge showing, be sure to welcome them to PEI! Let them know your business is a Show Your Badge participant, and that you’re excited to share the discount with them.
Are spouses eligible to participate?
Yes, we encourage you to allow spouses/companions to participate. If a spouse visits your establishment and is aware of the promotion, we ask that you treat them as a conference attendee.
Can discounts be combined?
Each establishment is welcome to make their own decision on this but, generally we suggest that discounts not be combined. Our promotional materials will indicate that attendees can only use one discount per visit.
What do I do if the conference is over?
We suggest that to allow for attendees to Come Early or Stay Late in PEI, you honour the discount for a week leading up to and a week following the conference. If someone comes into your establishment with a name badge for a conference that ended a month prior, use your discretion but you are not required to honour the discount.
